The sexual gender archetypes: The sham(e) of identity
In the ladder of evolution as humans, we still have to learn our basics. The ideas of ,” Holier than thou” is still prevalent more so in the spiritual communities. Gender, age, nation, appearance, money, power and so many other factors distribute us into sectors and label us. Sexual orientations, choices or inclinations are a big taboo even among st the urban and developed world. We still have disdain, repulsion and dislike to offer to the ones who appear different than the cult of normal sexual behavior which has been tempered over ages. Sexual prejudice ensures a stigma and battered self esteem to the ones who are different than the male or female gender prototype. Sinning as commonly commented upon is a label thrown out of bitter and biased behavior.
Untold…buried…under tears and deep scarring, many co humans are striving in their inner milieu with these massive conditioning of hate and non acceptance. Their stories remain unheard as even the mention of it might trigger another hateful insight. So they ache and bleed in silence trying to mimic normal sexual behavior to fit into societies and families. Ashamed at being themselves, they die everyday in this abyss of darkness.
“Ardhanareeshwara” as the fused form of Shiva and Shakti, the yin and yang in each of us is as real as what we condemn in others. In fact, the fusion of polarities happens while one awakens spiritually and realizes he is beyond the body form he has known himself to be. The false identity of body mind emotions is ripped off when one awakens to one’s own light. The polarities are seen and fused or transcended. Then why be so ashamed of who we are? Why can’t we accept ourselves and others just the same.
Awakening to the self is the liberation from the shackles of identities and knowing we are SAT CHIT ANANDA and nothing else…no one else.
