Commentary
This name honors Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati as one who is eternally united with the 64 Yoginīs, making Him a central figure in Śākta-Tantric worship and Yoginī Kaula traditions.
🔹 The Sixty-Four Yoginīs:
-
In Tantric metaphysics, the 64 Yoginīs are not merely external deities but also represent inner energies (śaktis) that govern bodily functions, chakras, and aspects of consciousness.
-
They are considered emanations of the Divine Mother, each carrying a specific siddhi (spiritual power) and are deeply connected to kuṇḍalinī yoga.
-
Their number (64) symbolizes totality and cosmic completeness, covering all directions, elements, and subtle planes of existence.
🔹 Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati’s Unique Role:
-
Unlike the more childlike or innocent depictions of Gaṇeśa, Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati is a Tantric embodiment, seen as a master of esoteric arts and secret rituals (guhya).
-
Being “saṃyuta” (united) with these Yoginīs signifies that He is not only their Lord but also fully integrated with their energy. This aligns Him with the left-hand path (vāmācāra) and esoteric practices that harness these powers for liberation (mokṣa) and worldly mastery (bhoga).
🔹 Inner Psychological Meaning:
-
On a meditative level, this name invites the practitioner to understand that Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati is accompanied by all the subtle forces within themselves.
-
Awakening and harmonizing the Yoginīs within leads to spiritual empowerment, creative potency, and self-realization.
This verse emphasizes the full-spectrum mastery of Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati—He is not just a remover of obstacles, but the Tantric sovereign of inner powers, leading the sādhaka beyond duality through the dynamic energies of the Yoginīs.
