Commentary:

This name of Śrī Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati highlights His cosmic supremacy and divine companionship, particularly in the tantric and elemental realms.

🔱 Navadurgā – The Nine Forms of Durga:

  • These are the nine fierce and protective forms of Goddess Durga worshipped especially during Navarātri. They include:

    1. Śailaputrī

    2. Brahmacāriṇī

    3. Candraghaṇṭā

    4. Kūṣmāṇḍā

    5. Skandamātā

    6. Kātyāyanī

    7. Kālī / Kālarātrī

    8. Mahāgaurī

    9. Siddhidātrī

  • These forms represent varied aspects of Śakti—from fierce destruction to serene motherhood—and show that Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati is revered by Śakti herself in her most potent forms.

🔥 Aṣṭa Vasus – The Eight Elemental Deities:

  • The Vasus are deities of natural and cosmic elements, including:

    1. Agni (Fire)

    2. Prithvi (Earth)

    3. Antarikṣa (Atmosphere)

    4. Āditya (Sun)

    5. Dyaus (Sky)

    6. Soma (Moon)

    7. Vāyu (Wind)

    8. Nakṣatra (Stars)

  • These gods represent the building blocks of physical and subtle existence. Their service to Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati affirms His role as the master of the elemental universe.

Tantric Insight:

Ucchiṣṭa Gaṇapati is shown here not only as a deity of inner alchemical transformation but also as the supreme cosmic axis around which both Śakti and Bhūta tattvas (elements) revolve.

He is served by Śakti in her most empowered forms and worshipped by the elemental gods themselves—indicating His lordship over both spiritual and material domains.

This name bridges Devī worship and Bhūta-yajña, making it especially significant for Tantric sādhakas who seek to harmonize feminine energy and elemental forces in their spiritual path.
