LEAVE ME FOR THE LAST TIME….
It’s been long you left the room
Shutting the door behind on me.
Hours pass as I gaze at the door knob
Which still has your lingering touch on it,
The air in the room
Still smells of you afresh.
Your voice declaring your leaving
Still echoes in the silence of the room
And the moon is now over over head
Having started it’s journey from the West horizon.
I am all tears
At how the simplicity of your leaving
Can be such an elaborate heartbreak
For me
And that my love could be such a burden
You were obliged to carry.
Alas…. The dawn will soon be arriving
And I must leave before that happening
To endure your leaving is to endure a death every night.
And wait for the next such night in succession.
I wish I could die once at this
Never ever to bear it again.
I implore you leave me..loose me
For the last time.
I implore you leave me..loose me
For the last time.
