Significance of Varuthini Ekadashi:
Varuthini Ekadashi is considered significant for the following reasons:

Varuthini Ekadashi is considered one of the most important Ekadashi fasts, and it is believed that observing this fast is equivalent to performing a Vajapeya Yajna.
Story of Varuthini Ekadashi:
According to Hindu mythology, King Mandhata of the Ikshvaku dynasty was a righteous king who performed many yajnas and sacrifices. However, due to some unknown reasons, the crops in his kingdom started to fail, and people started to suffer from famine and drought.
One day, Sage Angira came to the king and advised him to observe Varuthini Ekadashi fast to overcome his problems. The king followed the sage’s advice and observed the fast with devotion. As a result, Lord Vishnu appeared before him and blessed him with abundant crops, rainfall, and prosperity.

-
Fasting: Devotees observe a strict fast on this day, which begins from sunrise and ends on the next day after sunrise.
-
