THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT….
All life long I had been saintly blissful.
Adventuring fearlessly in the Eden gardens,
With nothing to prohibit or inhibit,
I was in the synch of surrender to the moment.
Freedom was rapturous
And free will the reign.
Came along one day a sermon so strong,
Knowledge is dangerous, “eat not its fruit”.
Once debarred, the curious mind became more alive.
So, indeed on that fateful day,
I ate it and became gayer.
Few days ahead, I was stuffed and sick,
Alas, too full and yet, so null.
My frivolous gait
Was heavy and unkempt.
Oh! Who could bless me “immorality” now,
When I had relished the forbidden fruit……
