The primary idol or sacred object within the temple is not a typical statue. Instead, it is a stone yoni (symbolic representation of the goddess) located in the sanctum sanctorum. The yoni is said to be naturally formed and is considered highly sacred. This stone is constantly bathed by a natural spring that emerges from within, symbolizing the menstruation cycle of the goddess.
