Meru-nilayā मेरु-निलया (775 Lalitashasranama)
Meaning: “She lives atop Meru.”
Meru refers to a mountain. Three dimensional form of Śrī Cakra is known as Meru or Mahā Meru. Meru also means the condensed form of the Pañcadaśī mantra. There are only nine bīja-s, if repeated bīja-s are removed (The nine bīja-s are: ka, e, ī, la, sa, ha, ra, ma (क, ए, ई, ल, स, ह, र, म) and bindu).
The Shree Yantra Meru is the abode of the Divine Goddess, SHREE LALITATRIPURASUNDARI! Hence the regular worship of the yantra makes one arrive at her consciousness of PARA & APARA both.
Meru also means the spinal cord. She traverses up and down the spinal cord in Her subtlest form kuṇḍalinī. as she moves through Meru (spinal cord), There is an awakening of spiritual perception about the truth of one’s life existence and the saadhak moves towards the final goals of Brahman consciousnesses of EKAM!
